Nigeria
At least 30 people were killed in Adamawa State, Nigeria, when two female suicide bombers struck at a busy motor park in the town of Madagali.
Madagali sits close to the border of Boko Haram stronghold Borno State and has been repeatedly attacked by the jihadists in their quest to establish an independent Islamic State in Africa’s most populous nation.
A witness said the two suicide bombers detonated bombs at a mini market near the motor park at around 09h00, killing at least 30 people and injuring a dozen others.
Confirming the incident, Brigade Commander, Victor Ezugwu said the casualty was yet to be established.
“Two female suicide bombers struck at a garage in Madagali and detonated their devices, and we lost some beloved country men,” said Mr. Ezugwu.
